For fans that have not heard my music I would say my music is 1) inspiring 2) honest 3) God-fearing What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else? Tell us why: My favorite part of being an artist is what your art can do for someone else. The smile on someone's face when they tell you your song touched their heart and gave them a message they needed - that's powerful. I just want to reach as ,many people as I can for Christ. Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you? This latest recording was done at Post Pro recording with Matt Horton and I had a great time, and he is a great producer and engineer who just let me sing the song I wrote and let it be exactly what I wanted it to be: honest, pure, and real because that's exactly what it is. I highly recommend the studio to other artists and I hope to record more there in the future. Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing? I love being a mom to my 1 year old son. He is the best gift from God. I never thought I would be a mom, but God gives us exactly what we need and that's what he did when he gave me my boy. All praise to him. I also enjoy studying psychology and I am pursuing my Masters. I love shopping too, style is still a part of me. Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it? In Spite of Me is the most emotional song I have ever written because the raw emotion of a conversation with God is where it came from. I just let it all flow and it all came to me through God easily. Since I know to whom much is given much is required, I am stepping out in faith and giving this song to the world for God to do with it his will not my own.
Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why? Since becoming a Christian artist only, I have loved ever single song I have heard whether indie or mainstream Christian music. The lyrics, the voices. the message simply outstanding and beautiful to the core. The reason why I love it, other than what I already mentioned, is in the way the music uses what God gave me to give the glory back to him.
