OGUgly

In 3 years of releasing music professionally, OGugly has proven that there isn’t a genre in music that he can’t dip into. He loves pushing the limit while showing his hip-hop roots on every release. 2022 is shaping up to be a big year for the Ghost. Now is the time to follow the origin story of the next big name in music.

You can find his latest release, "Hate This," available on all streaming platforms!

For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough, then tell us more!!

It’s hard to use three words. My music spans multiple genres, from Trap-rap to rock and pop. My music is emotional more than anything. And I convey my emotions in each song.

What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.

Honestly, It’s the reaction. It’s the messages telling me that people feel the same as me and that my music has helped them in some way. I also love recording my music. Being in the studio, the low lights, and the vibe is just my safe space.

Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?

99% of the time, I’m alone. I turn the lights off and just have some rope lights on and some salt lamps. Its funny to see me hit record and then run into the booth to record my song. It’s a time where I just feel like myself. Where no outside influences can touch me. I’m free.

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?

Im a dad and husband first. We swim and play games. I try to give my kids everything I didn’t have. Other than that I’m a gamer. I play a lot of games as an escape from reality sometimes. I also enjoy getting tattoos.

Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?

Today, Post Malone and Machine Gun Kelly. They both cross genres with a fluidity that I idolize.

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

Most of my songs are really emotional. I have one called “The Note” that was literally a suicide note I wrote in 2020. Luckily I’m past that now, but it was a rough year.

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?

I have a lot of releases coming at the end of the year that culminate into my second studio album “Phases2”

Tell us where fans can access your music.
