NUNE AKA MR. PROPANE
Updated: Jan 11
Nune (pronounced Noon) also known as Mr. Propane is an independent artist focusing on lyrical substance and conscious content with a very unique sound. Embracing deep poetic lyrics and unique delivery, along with focused subject matter, his lyrics really blend into timeless songs you will want to dig deep into. From life, love, faith, and general peace, his debut album Intervention is a breath of fresh air in the face of the evolution of hip-hop and he is commonly referred to as a bridge artist linking the ol-skool to the new-age style now prominent. Socially aware and motivated, join him and be a part of his journey as he is compelled to be a voice of reason in the midst of all the static we are drowned in socially. His debut album "Intervention" is not only an introduction into his life and deep inner-feelings but also an escape to a higher consciousness we're sure many can relate to.
For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!
Lyrical Unique Motivational
When you are writing a song, where do you draw inspiration from? Or what topics do you like to sing about?
I typically draw inspiration from personal experience and deeper inner feelings and thoughts. The musical composition aids in getting the right emotion which guides me in a certain direction.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
I am a huge movie fan. Blockbusters to TV series, and all things Marvel/DC is one of my favorite things to do when just chilling. I also like photography/videography and just being creative.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?
Easily the most emotional song on my Album, is called "Addicted", which was written directly to my wife of 9 years. If Love could be expressed in words, then this song embodies exactly how I feel about her and our relationship. I've learned lasting relationships aren't built off of just "Love" but also requires mutual respect and order!
What was the first song or piece you ever wrote!?
I don't even remember that. I started writing in Middle School and many songs have just been lost to me over time. I remember being featured on a track by one of my best friends D-Rich, whose more like a brother growing up, called "We Ouchea Cuzzin." I think it was one of my first written verses on wax.
What is your dream gig? Is there a gig that you really want that would be the ultimate show for you?
My dream gig is becoming an Artist Developer & Talent Manager. Finding those with talent and giving them the tools they need to succeed would be incredibly rewarding as it wouldn't even be work to me but still financially rewarding.
Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?
Yes, I have my next project in the works with about five songs complete and will be working on music videos and an EP with my cousin Big Dust who I mentioned earlier.
