Nuawd Musiq

Born and raised in Los Angeles Ca, Nuawd Musiq (born D'waun Roberson) has always had a passion for music. He started singing at the early age of 11 which led him to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry. As a child Nuawd sustained abuse, neglect, and so manfy more challenges that he turned to writing as a way out. He has currently written about a dozen songs, each speaking to a particular struggle and/or desire. He now lives in Miami Florida with his wife and son. For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!

I would describe my music and sound as alive, smooth and hip. My songs and sound that I believe could be listened to at any time and never get old. I call it timeless music.

What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.

I love writing music but I also love being on stage performing in front of thousands of fans. Just seeing their smiles and enjoying the music gives me life.

Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?

Its all work and no play. I'm a perfectionist so from the track to the vocal everything must be right. If you're in the studio with me be ready to work.

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?

I'm just at home chilling out. Watching T.V or at my day job.

Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?

Rick Ross hands down. His music influence and business sense is one of a kind. He sees the vision and understands the vision.

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

Marry You would be the most emotional. We have all been there where we find that special someone and its just like finally. Growing up in a broken home and single parent home I knew that the way I wanted to raise my kids and family would be different.

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?

Yes I'm working on some new music which I hope to release 2021. Stat tuned because it's gonna be fire.
