For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!
This is a hard one, I think that if I were to describe my music in three words, the words I would choose would be: POP, SOUL, and FUSION.
When you are writing a song, where do you draw inspiration from? Or what topics do you like to sing about?
I draw inspiration from the literally anything and everything. I can be walking my dog and be inspired by something I see, I can hear a certain phrase that someone says, and think to myself I could write a song about that. I like to be able to tell stories through my music, whether that be my own or someone else’s. I know this is true for a lot of musicians but I love to write and sing about love. Love is a pretty universal feeling that everyone can connect to in some way. I also like to write about important events in my life, or important moments that happen in the world, so I can mark that moment and never forget about it.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
The only thing that is fun for me is music! No but seriously, music takes up the majority of my time! Besides music, I love to hang out with my friends and family and I love immersing myself in sign language. I have taken sign language for about 6 years now, and I had always been fascinated the language. The motivation to become proficient in ASL was to learn more about myself. For my whole life I have been defined as a singer which I love, and it is arguably the largest part of who I am. It is the thing that has always been up my sleeve for any uncomfortable situations... I was definitely my parent’s party trick! I wanted to challenge myself to learn something new, and I wanted to see what people who couldn’t hear my music and my voice found special about me. I wanted to find other things I thought were special about me aside from my music.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

What was the first song or piece you ever wrote!?
When I was in preschool I vividly remember that at the end of the day after playtime, all of the kids went to the broom closet with the teacher and she got her big broom and we all had little yellow brooms with red bristles. We sang a song I’m sure a lot of people sang, “Clean up, clean up everybody do your share. Clean up clean up everybody everywhere.” I dont think it was my favorite so I made up a different song that I had the class sing when it was clean up time. “Teamwork working together, teamwork friends forever. One for all and all for one.” I think I was maybe 3 at the time.
What is your dream gig? Is there a gig that you really want that would be the ultimate show for you?
My mom always told me to put something out into the world and with hard work you can will it to existence. My dream is to one day be able to perform at Madison Square Garden with glaring lights on my face, singing my heart out. Sweat in my eyes so I can’t even see, but I feel the enveloping energy in the arena of people who are moved by my music. People who know the words to my songs. People who want to go to such a big venue just to see me. That’s when the little girl inside of me will know that I accomplished one of my dreams.
Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?
I’m never not working on material to be perfectly honest. Bits and pieces of what becomes a fully fleshed out song sometimes can come in 20 minutes, or sometimes in 2 weeks. It all depends. During quarantine I have been writing more than I ever have, and I have so many new songs that I can’t wait to share with the world!
