Muenster

“Muenster is an independent rapper and producer from Texas. He has worked with many artists, creators, and web3 musical platforms, including Cait Music, CXC.World, and Sublime Sounds NFT. Muenster is known as a well-versed rapper because he is widely respected in the hip-hop and rap community. He is known for his raw, unapologetic delivery and flow, creative wordplay, and use of metaphors to tell stories with depth and emotion. Additionally, he has an impressive discography featuring numerous tracks on different labels and production companies. His impact has been far-reaching, earning him recognition in the states and internationally.

This led to the culmination of what is now known as the “Muenstervision Presents” project. The MVPNFT project is a joint effort between Muenster and collaborative partners. The project aims to create an innovative platform for exchanging non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Through this platform, users can securely trade digital objects such as artwork, music, videos, and other forms of media. In addition to facilitating secure transactions, the project seeks to provide a more engaging experience through interactive content and community-building activities. Muenstervision NFT will facilitate collaborations between artists, producers, curators, and investors. Ultimately, the platform hopes to become a hub for creative works on the blockchain.

The Muenstervision NFT project aims to create an open-source platform for trading rare and valuable digital collectibles. The collaboration between renowned designers and programmers creates a secure and resilient blockchain-powered system focused on developing tangible assets with community-focused features. Through their NFTs, Muenstervision seeks to merge the physical world with the ever-expanding digital markets. It allows users to own rights to items within virtual worlds, games, films, and other media platforms. By digitally encoding these rights into a network secured by cryptography, you can trade and transfer them as immutable digital tokens for as long as you like. Muenstervision is planning on even further utility of his assets through advancements in augmented reality technology that will eventually allow users to interact with their digital collectibles across physical spaces!”

For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!

Vibey, Eclectic, Anthropological

What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.

For me its the creation first and foremost. The catharsis of it all... conceiving something in the mind and then making it tangible.. that is next level sorcery to me. "All we have is what we leave behind" is a common core framework of thought for me. So being able to create as an artist and impact the world, if even ever so slightly, is for sure my favorite part. That said, being a performer, hitting the stage and connecting with a crowd is the ultimate high for me, creating communion with each other in the moments we share is so important.

Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?

Yes, for me its home. What I mean is that after a long day, I can hit a session and let all things NOT music sort of take a back seat to the creative process. When I'm at the Studio, it is a purely expressive space, no pre-conceptions aside from the fact that I'm there to create art.. So, having that mindset walking in allows me to be my peak self in THAT zone. Its an agreement I make with myself, and my engineer, to show up, lean in, and do work! Whatever that sounds like....

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?

SO, When Im not creating music, I am constructing with, consulting, and incubating artists and other creatives into web3 through my incubation hub I manage over on telegram (Here: https://t.me/MuenstervisionPresents) I have spent the last two years FULLY submerged in blockchain and digital asset management. I have learned how to leverage real worl utility into my digital creations. By tokenizing my works as NFT's as example (Non Fungible Tokens) I can and have create(d) an authenticity framework that proves ownership of a work of art, unlocks a myriad of potential touch points between artist and fan, and monetizes the creation. Thusly opening up possibilities for generational wealth through royalty distribution, all automated and free from typical art trade brokerage as all is set via smart contracts, ensuring visibility and transparency for both artist and buyer. Blockchain mechanics and token-backed asset management will be the new standard for the art trade world. I am early to this party, and I embrace this. I am ALWAYS happy to discuss these things further with those bold and brave enough to want to architect the future together.

Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?

Yeesh... this is really tough... I think I admire the resilient musician. Whomever that is. I admire all of us "single REM creatives" who realize time waits for none of us. I admire those who have the tenacity to get out there and carve a lane out for themselves and hit that gas pedal till we smash the floor! I admire all the musicians, engineers, and visionaries who have all been able to see past their own windshields.

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

I think likely the most emotional song on the record is "Equilibrium" which is sort of an ode to a post-pandemic sense of "what now?" I brought my homies Ceschi and Heir Max along with me and we set out to offer our audience a glimpse into this very psyche of what doe sit mean to reconnect with each other? The lines of division now being so strong, and police violence against our own fellow American's being at the peak of brutality since pre Jim Crow era has forced us (or should have ) to look at how we view the world around us, and how we interact with each other. Its crucial that we take down the fingers of blame and ridicule lest we forget that we each are trying to navigate this world, and we do a lot better job of this when we acknowledge our strengths, flaws, differences, and similarities along the way...

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?

Yes, this interview is intentionally centered around my new record " Muenstervision Presents: Ian" which is a 17 track LP featuring some of Hip Hop's greatest to ever do it, along with some of the world's most prominent Jazz musicians and producers with me to bring you this record. I am beyond proud of what we accomplished. I set out to make something new, in the time of "no rules releases" I dedicated this endeavor to the unknown. To navigating the void... I created "Ian" something new and unique and free from conception. I set out to make something that pushes my own paradigm, but in a way that is holistic and authentic. There isn't a song on here that isn't intentionally placed, titled, and featured out of sync. Please check out the album info below, pre-order went live 12/31 and the album hits streaming and beyond 03/03/2023, on my daughters first birthday.
