For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!

Big Hooks & Chunky Guitars

What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.

All of it, I've always loved all three. My first love was playing live, I love the interaction with the audience and more so with my current band KevinLee & the Kings putting on a high energy rock show night after night. Working on a new song, watching it come together and bringing it to the band for me is the best. Taking songs into the studio and building the tracks to a finished master gives me every reason to get up everyday and work harder on the music.

Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?

It's definitely my happy place. I go in with just the drummer and cut the drum tracks, it's easier and more focused that way. Then lay down the bass and on to the guitar tracks. Brain storming coming up with parts is always fun for me as well as recording vocals and backing vocal parts.

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?

I'm a big animal lover and have a dog and two cats, spending time with them is great. I'm also big on going to the gym and staying in shape.

Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?

I admire the successful older bands that don't need the money but continue to tour and release new music. They love it, it's in their blood, even if they weren't so big they would still be in a corner bar somewhere rockin' because they need it, I can relate.

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

Can't Believe You're Gone from my "Breakout" album. I wrote the lyric's in the context of two people breaking up but it's really about one of my pets passing away. I was so heartbroken and couldn't believe he wasn't there anymore I had to write a song about it.

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?

Yes, I have a new album written. The life span of a new release is so short now I'm not going to record a whole album but a couple new singles for 2023 and then a new EP in 2024.

Tell us where fans can access your music.
