Kacey Fifield is an award-winning 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles who has been releasing original music since she was 10! This includes “Hear Me Out”, a song about youth empowerment and kindness, whose video was selected and awarded by multiple festivals, including indie festival “Dances with Films” in Hollywood. Her latest releases include "Ghost” , “Camouflage”, “Confused”, and "Last Breath", a duet with “American Idol” finalist and frequent collaborator Robbie Rosen. Kacey's releases have now achieved over 2.7 million streams across platforms. Kacey participates regularly in humanitarian issues. This past spring, Kacey took part in Students of the Year, a fundraising campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Kacey is a part of FFAC (Factory Farming Awareness Coalition) and the Youth Leadership Council for Farm Sanctuary. She also leads a Children's Hospital Aid Club affiliated with St Jude's Hospital. She plays piano and guitar, but ultimately singing is her greatest passion. For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! In three words, I would describe my music as pop, illustrative, and personal. I use my lyrics to express myself and describe my experiences through upbeat, pop tempos! What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) It's difficult to pick one part of the process! I love writing songs because I get to be creative and convey my emotions in a way that others can relate to. I also love singing itself—whether that be recording the song or performing it—because it's incredibly fun to finally be able to sing that one song that I've worked so hard creating. Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you? It's super fun! I work with my vocal coach, Robbie Rosen, to record each section of the song until we know we have the perfect take. It can certainly get tiring, but it's a very rewarding process.

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing? I love acting, playing with my cats (I have 4 rescues!), doing competitive debate, exercising at the gym, and taking part in various activism and volunteering projects. I'm a huge animal rights advocate so I do a lot of interning and volunteering with various groups focused on that kind of work. I'm also the president of my school's Children's Hospital Aid Club, a founder of a local nonprofit tutoring organization, and an ambassador for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Overall, I just love working toward positive changes in the world :) Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why? Conan Gray! He's an incredibly talented singer and songwriter who manages to make every song super relatable. I also got to see him on tour, and he was a phenomenal performer! Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it? My most emotional song is probably "Confused". Written in the midst of the pandemic's height, it truly expressed my feelings of isolation and the overwhelming nature of the world at the time.

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?: Yes, yes, yes! I have a ton of exciting music-related projects in the works. Expect some big announcements soon (follow my Instagram @KaceyFifield to stay up to date!) Can you give us a few places where fans can find your music? All of my songs can be found on every digital outlet: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc!
