For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!
Personal, youthful, emotional
What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.
Songwriting has become incredibly therapeutic and is my main source of creative expression. After being in isolation for so long during the pandemic I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to performing as well. But the process of production and collaboration with my producers is extremely exciting.
Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?
It is an amazing space of experimentation. The evolution of a song from lyrics in my journal to mapping out chords on my keyboard in my room then translated into a layered and dynamic track in the context of the studio- that arc is incredibly fulfilling.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
I am passionate about acting and am writing a pilot right now about mean girls, queen bees and self love. I am deeply passionate about fashion and have designed a turban collection inspired by my Abuela - a Nicaraguan opera singer. I started a blog with a focus on music, fashion and art called At Ease - the same title as my short film and my first album.
Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?
Our dear family friend Joy Huerta is such a remarkably captivating performer. She has the voice of an angel and the most subtle, authentic stage presence. She is so incredibly natural and exudes beauty.
I am very inspired by the vibe of Wetleg - they have a very clear style and vision and an absurdist tone and language. And the CLAY video for Orange I love.
One song that I am super into, it has a sense of humor as well, is Jades Goudreault Nuh uh.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?
The first day I left the house after lock down I had a jarring experience when I went out in public I felt alot of looks and stares of strangers that left an indelible mark on me. I have an extensive birthmark and my mother and I will never forget that day. We were so excited and joyful to be out and then hit hard. I wrote a song called Stained which should be out in the Spring. Lyrics include "when you stare don't you know I'm aware do you think I don't care."

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?
Working on an EP and finishing the forthcoming songs in the studio including Random Boy, Punk Lullaby, and Pink Envy.
