For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!
Melodic, Alternative, Heavy Rock
What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.
My favorite part about being an artist is probably the songwriting process. I love making music, i see songs as puzzles and every song has a different meaning to every individual and performing live can very cathartic.
Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?
Being in the studio comes with a lot of feelings. There’s an intensity in a sense because we are trying to create something and do it well but then there is also a comfort in it because we’re all in it together and that’s a testament to the people we work with in the studio and the band members.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
When I’m not doing music…I really enjoy football and movies and just spending time with my family friends.
Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?
I would have to say Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains is someone I admire very much. He’s had a very big influence on me as far as writing to even the tuning we play in. He’s still writing music and touring with his band and as a solo artist and only seems to be getting better.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?
I tend to look at songs as just something that I had to get off my chest at a point in time and be done with it, so I don’t necessarily have a strong emotional attachment to one certain song. I will say one of my favorite songs I’ve written is “Stalemate”. I think we all have been in a situation in our lives where someone or even something is taking more than they’re giving back or vice versa and for that matter that can cause problems with trust.
Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?
I am always working on new music and we actually have a 2nd CD written that we are in the process of recording. The 1st single is complete and we are working on recording the rest of the album for hopefully a release next year.
