Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.

I made music since I was young. I played guitar and drums in Punk bands. I am self-taught and I never visited a music school. Before I started playing myself, I spent my weekends at the rehearsal room of a local Punk band. So, I think this was the catalyst.

Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?

On the way back from a live performance we were met at the train station by a hundred police and arrested for breach of the peace. The fans who were traveling with us had behaved a bit badly. In the end, however, the case was dropped, and nothing further happened.

What has been the high point of your music path?: As my current career as electronic music producer just has started in March 2021 the milestones so far are 200K streams and 14K followers on Spotify. 1 Mio video streams with my music on TikTok. The release of my album “Move in Dance” and great support from my fans.

So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like? My next big step will be to write my own lyrics and use them in my songs. Up until now, I've been buying the lyrics as samples. So, my process has been to search for vocals, and once I found something that I felt the message and mood fit, I produced the instrumentals to go with it. I would like to work with a female singer and make a long-time alliance so that we become a duo.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what wou: The music industry had a bad reputation of only getting to the top through relationships or the cast couch. A kind of lion cage that ate up everything. I found a lot of love until now and the music industry has become a better place with the streaming. As this has opened the doors for indie artists like me to enter the market without selling your soul and rights to major labels. I myself am impressed how fast it was possible for me to reach the status I already got in 6 months. The hardest job is all the work around and behind the music. So, targeting influencers, attracting fans, keep up to date in the genre. Fortunately, I can do a lot of things myself, like building up a website, creating promotional graphics, videos and so on. This saves time and money.

If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why? Definitely I would like to share the stage with Alfred Heinrichs & Martin Books because these guys are really talented, and their music took me the past 10 years through all my ups and downs.

What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show? My living room is my rehearsal. As producer of electronic music, I don’t need much equipment. Just a computer, a DAW and a midi keyboard as well as good studio boxes. I haven’t gone live yet as I do not deejaying. Mainly my music is produced for streaming, gaming, broadcast, television and cinema.

Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!: “I’m not the One” challenged me as I composed it in a time where I cut the relation to my girlfriend. The message of the track was the message I told her. I still loved her, but the relationship was toxic and that I would take her back, I have ruled out.

What's coming up in the future? I can't see very far into the future but a cooperation with a charming singer who sings lyrics written by me and her is my goal. In addition, of course, I also hope for the big breakthrough and would like to find my songs in the charts.
