For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!!
Universal, reflective, life stories, heartfelt folk-rock, Americana music.
What is your favorite part about being an artist? Is it songwriting, performing, recording, something else?) Tell us why.
I love writing songs, recording them and sharing them. It is very satisfying and therapeutic. The songs are like diary entries, a way to share my life experiences and stories.

Can you tell us what being in the recording studio is like for you?
It’s a lot of hard work, but worth it in the end when we get a good recording. I am always learning. The process is grueling at times. I try to give the best performance as possible and hopefully we get something good. I’m very critical of my own work so when I like what I hear, that’s the best reward.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
I have a husband and two children I am lucky to spend every day with. I work from home and we homeschool. It’s a total zoo but we have the sweetest moments together and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We are also expecting our third baby and are so excited about that.
Who do you admire most in the music scene today and why?
I admire independent artists like myself who are making things happen. My friend Katie Knipp is doing very well performing at great venues and releasing amazing music. I am also being introduced to artists who have been successfully licensing their music for film and TV, which is something I am currently learning more about. Artists like Abby Posner and Amy Stroup.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?
I have written many emotional songs, but “I Will Be True” was written for a father figure in my life, who played a huge part in my upbringing and greatly influenced the person I have become. That song was a thank you to him. In fact, the whole “Heroes & Heartaches” album was a dedication to him. That work was nominated and won a few awards. Listening to it never gets old for me.
Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year?
My husband/engineer and I have been working in our home studio on two albums this past year and they are both completely different. One is a solo album featuring a collection of my piano songs, really scaled-down and intimate - confessional and raw at times.
The other is our second full band release for “The Amber Snider Band”. Including my husband/guitarist, Aaron Snider, bassist, Dave Youdell and drummer, Ram Hatley.
